Rabbi
Mayer Schmukler - Director
Rabbi Mayer Schmukler was
first ordained in 1987 by Rabbi Pinchas Hirshprung zt"l of Canada and later
received his "Yodin Yodin" ordination from Rabbi Yitzchok Pierkarski zt"l of
Queens, NY. He began his rabbinical career in North Edison, NJ, where he
successfully built a synagogue and supervised numerous youth programs.
In 1988 and 1989, Rabbi
Schmukler established community based youth programs in Zaire, Kenya, Nigeria
and the Ivory Coast. He also coordinated the construction of the first
mikvah in Nairobi.
From 1991 to 2002, Rabbi
Mayer Schmukler acted as the main fundraiser for all the programs of the Chabad
Russian Immigration Program in Los Angeles. During that time, he directed
the Youth Center of Los Angeles, and managed teenage programs at Fairfax High
School and Hollywood High School. He is recognized as an effective and
respected counselor of teenagers as well as their siblings and parents.
Rabbi Schmukler lives in
Los Angeles with Leah his wife of 15 years. They are blessed with seven
children, kein yirbu.

Stanley Jacobson, Adjunct
Professor of College of the Canyons (COC), will serve as both a teacher and
advisor. Dr. Rick Clark, Chairman of the Department of Engineering &
Vocational Studies at COC and other community colleges, has given JETS his full
support.
Dr. Nathan Lipton, Dean of
California State University at Los Angeles, is JETS advisor with respect to
awarding Community College Associate Degrees; JETS graduates will have the
opportunity to gain acceptance in University systems throughout the world.
Peter Bellas, Director of
the Center for Applied Competitive Technologies (CACT) in Valencia, California,
is JETS advisor regarding governmental and private enterprise grants.
