Real Estate-Principles – 60 Hours

This competency-based course prepares students for the California Real Estate salesperson's license examination. It includes instruction in the major aspects of real estate law, the California Department of Real Estate, contracts, deeds, titles, encumbrances, leases, financing, land descriptions, business opportunities, real estate computation, and ethics. The competencies in this course are aligned with the California High School Academic Content Standards and the California Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards.

PREREQUISITES:

Enrollment requires concurrent high school students to be 18 years of age upon completion of the course.

The Division of Adult and Career Education’s Finance Career Pathway for Real Estate prepares students for the California Real Estate salesperson’s license examination.
